Lady Antebellum joined Ellen Degeneres on her “Somewhat Special Special”, which aired on TBS on Sunday Night. As you would expect, they performed their amazing chart topping hit, “Need You Now”. I do not think I have ever seen a group hit the mainstream so quickly coming from country music. Rascal Flatts took probably 5 or so years. Kenny too over a decade. This trio did it in a year or two. Very impressive.

Lady Antebellum’s CMA Fest Fan Club Party sold out so quickly that the breakout trio knew they needed to find a way to let more fans hear the intimate concert. The June 10th Fan Club Party will be streamed live on the Lady Antebellum website for the modest price of $5. The best part is that the proceeds from the Fan Club Party will go to relief effort for flood victims. The trio has already participated in benefit concerts during the last few weeks.
“It was great to be a part of the benefit at the Ryman … to see how everyone is coming together for Nashville and the surrounding areas is really inspiring,” says Dave Haywood. “We want to keep doing our part because it isn’t over yet. Music City has a long way to go. Streaming the event online is a cool way for us to include more of our fans in this event, and all the money goes to a great cause.”
This should be a great fan club party. With the huge success of Lady A, it will be a win-win for fans and flood relief efforts.
Lady Antebellum has reached another milestone with their biggest hit-to-date, “Need You Now.” Billboard just confirmed that it is the longest running number one song by a country crossover group since Billboard started the Adult Contemporary radio airplay chart 49 years ago.
